Margaret says Good bye and Michael says Hello

If you ever booked a place on a short course at the John Moulton Hall during the last 5 years then chances are you spoke to Margaret Simons. As CLIP outreach worker she has organised all sorts of courses in Penhill; First Aid, Food Safety, Healthy Cooking, Pilates, Ballroom Dancing, etc.
In recent months Margaret has been unwell but has refused to give in to her illness. However, this month her contract runs out so she has decided to call it a day. Colleagues at CLIP said goodbye to her at a farewell lunch in July.
CLIP (Community & Learning In Penhill) is pleased to announce the appointment of a Centre Manager at the John Moulton Hall. There has not be a paid Centre Manager before. Interviews took place in July and Michael O’Brien is already in post! He has considerable experience as a manager and trainer. He has done a lot of work with the homeless and with Citizen’s Advice Bureau. The premises will now be open for more hours; 9.30am – 5pm Monday to Friday, some evening and week-end bookings.
Volunteers are playing an increasingly important part supporting activities in the Hall and Learning Centre. The hope is that, the premises will be open more at week-ends and evenings in coming months.
