4 Star Community Café
Feb 7th, 2012 | By Jallan | Category: Latest Group NewsThe Café at John Moulton Hall organised a Christmas event for Monday 19th December. Glitter, glue and Christmas stickers were the order of the day as local children (and some not so local who were visiting from Wales) made Christmas cards for their loved ones. Adults partook of scrummy mince pies and cream. The volunteer staff then packed up for a two week break then re-opened the Cafe on Monday 9th January.
On their return the Community Cafe volunteers found they had received a late Christmas present from a Swindon Borough Council Environmental Health Officer. The Community Cafe had been inspected for the Scores on Doors scheme and been awarded 4 Stars!
The Café are looking forward to their Valentines Week Special on Monday 13th February when children (or adults) can make their own Valentine‟s Day cards. The Valentine‟s Day raffle will be drawn (tickets available at the Café).
