| Community & Learning in Penhill (CLIP) - 01793 723687 Aims to support individual and community aspirations in Penhill. Promotes and provides a variety of adult learning and social activities. CLIP is based at and manages the John Moulton Hall. It works in partnership with the New College, Swindon and other organisations to bring a variety of activities to Penhill. The premises is a UK Online Centre which means it is ideal for first time computer users and also people who want to work at improving their literacy and numeracy skills. Some of the fitness and dance classes on offer: Ballet for children; Street Dancing with Banxy; Fit Box; Indoor football drop-in and more. | Penhill Forum - 01793 331516 The Forum opens up opportunities for all those who work for Penhill either paid, or in a voluntary capacity, to come together to exchange information and to debate community issues. Meetings of the Forum are quarterly. The Forum has taken a lead in the creation of the Penhill Community Plan and has various sub groups based on the Community Priority themes. So far these are Play and Youth, Learning and Environment. |

Although public meetings are not advertised Penhill Neighbourhood Safety Meetings are held 6 times a year, usually invitations go to those working in a paid or unpaid capacity for the community, they are open to all. |

| Seven Fields Conservation Group - 01793 331516 Seven Fields Local Nature Reserve is the large open space to the south of Penhill and well used by all the surrounding estates. The Group is made up of representatives from all of those areas and therefore has a relationship with other community organisations from off Penhill as well as various Borough Departments. They help to ensure the conservation of the reserve and to keep it as a community resource for education and the enjoyment of Nature. A slide show on the wildlife, work of the group and history is available. |

| Sure Start Children's Centre Pinehurst & Penhill The Sure Start Children's Centre has two sites, one in Linden Avenue in Pinehurst and another in Everleigh Road in Penhill. Our Nursery, Bright Start is also at our Penhill site. We offer a one stop shop of family friendly actiivities and services to all families in the area with children under the age of 5. A few of the things we offer are: Early education and childcare. Creche provision. Links to local childminders. Drop in and toddler groups. Dads group. Family support. Health services eg weekly baby clinic, visiting paediatrician, breastfeeding support. Training and learning opportunities for parents. Information for parents wishing to volunteer and support to gain employment. Advice on eg benefits, housing. Community gardens. Fun, summer and holiday activities. |
| The Penhill Orchard - 01793 331516 The Penhill Orchard is situated on the Old Leigh Road allotments at the end of Westbury Road. It was planted to promote Healthy Eating and Horticultural opportunities for those in need. Over 200 fruit trees and bushes ensure a long fruiting season. Regular work parties are held every week on Saturdays 10am to 12 noon. New volunteers always welcome. |
